Pete’s Bio:

Pete Gagnon is the Chief Scientific Officer of Validated Biosystems. He is one of the leading experts in the field of purification process development and is well respected in the bioindustry as well as in academia. He has been doing purification process development since the mid-1970s and has been an active participant in many of the technology advances that have occurred in the field since that time.

He is best known for his book: Purification Tools for Monoclonal Antibodies, but has also authored more than 100 additional book chapters, articles, oral presentations, and posters on the subject of downstream processing, many of which are downloadable at www.validated.com. Although most of his published work has involved proteins, he also works actively in the area of virus purification and has co-authored articles on the subject with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
