Tokyo, Japan, January 18, 2012 - JSR Corporation (Head Office: Minato-Ku, Tokyo, President: Mitsunobu Koshiba) and BIA Separations (Head Office: Villach, Managing Director and CEO: Aleš Štrancar) announced that they have entered a Strategic partnership which includes a minor equity position by JSR on November 14th 2011.
As a result of this investment, JSR and BIA Separations have started a joint global marketing and sales effort and collaborative R&D activities in the area of downstream purification as part of the manufacturing of vaccine, DNA and antibody based medicines.

BIA Separations GesmbH today announced the extension of it's supply agreement with Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) which began on May 29th, 2008. According to this extension Agilent Technologies and BIA Separations will both have the rights to sell analytical columns for bio-molecule separations based on BIA Separations’s monolithic technology. Agilent Technologies will market the columns under the Agilent Bio-Monolith name and BIA Separations under the CIMac trademark....more>>

March 1st, Ljubljana, Slovenia - Mr. Philippe Maystadt, the president of the European Investment Bank and Dr. Aleš Štrancar, CEO of BIA Separations, signed an 8 million Euro loan agreement making it the first small to mid size company to receive a loan under the Risk Sharing Finance Facility (RSFF) scheme.
